Location

Fly into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), which is a 10- to 15-minute drive from the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach. The concierge can arrange transportation from the airport. The hotel is oceanfront and water taxis and rideshare services are readily available, so we do not recommend renting a car.

Waterthrush Balcony!

We rented the property based on the listing photo showing a large, open balcony with an ocean view. In reality, the balcony is divided into three sections by large, slanted support beams that not only obstruct the view but also require everyone to duck under them to move from one side to the other — especially challenging since we had tall people in our group. Unlike other units at the Conrad, this balcony has no overhead cover. During our April stay, the intense sun beat down on the balcony until mid-afternoon, making it uncomfortable to use.

Beautiful beach views

The location is fantastic and the hotel team is outstanding. The hotel team set us up with drivers to and from the airport and restaurant reservations. The accommodations are just OK. The Waterthrush room is tired and the furniture could be updated (a chair was broken and the drawer with the safe was very damaged). The entryway/hallway to the hotel room is also in need of some fresh paint. The views from the room do not disappoint and I could have sat on the balcony all afternoon to soak in the sun. The evenings were very loud from events at the pool above the room. Tables and chairs were being dragged around until around 1 am which made it hard to sleep. We tried the new Italian restaurant at the hotel and the food was OK, but the service wasn't great and it ended up being over 3hrs for a party of 2 of us which was exhausting. Yoga on the beach in the morning was lovely. Our instructor was fabulous. We did not know this was included with the room and ended up booking our own yoga lessons (they are free if you just do the 7:30 group lessons). We had massage services at the spa which were fine. The spa is adequate, but we were hoping for something larger with more amenities. From a safety perspective, access to the tower where the room is located is not locked from the pool deck so anyone with or without a key can gain access to the elevator, stairs, and hallway which was a little unnerving.

As of 2/15/24, Inspirato's Destination team in Fort Lauderdale confirmed the following: - The few mentions of the residence's interiors, including the broken furniture, have been escalated to Conrad Fort Lauderdale's engineering team to be repaired. - Our Destination Manager for the area has reached out to the local concierge to address concerns that were missed during the trip planning process to ensure it does not happen for future guests. Not for me

Nice accommodations but a little dirty/dingy. Property feels worn. If you want to sit in the sun at the pool you must reserve chairs in advance and they will not release chairs even if no one ever shows up, all day. Restuarant on site was very good (on the beach side), service was excellent at the hotel. Prefer the Ritz in Fort Lauderdale over The Conrad.

A great girl’s weekend!

My girlfriend and I took a much needed three day weekend away from our families. The Waterthrush unit was perfect and very comfortable. It was nice for each of us to have our own space and a common area to relax and unwind. The beach is beautiful and all of the Conrad staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend lunch at Lona (great guacamole) and a stop at the hidden wine bar-Wine Garden behind the hotel

Beautiful location

Across the street from Ft. Lauderdale beach. Morning sun on the balcony with coffee was the perfect way to start the day!
