All bedrooms are accessed through exterior doors that open directly to the pool and courtyard, so this home may not be suitable for those traveling with young children.
Your private pool is not heated. However, sunny days and warm temperatures keep the pool a comfortable temperature.
In addition to enjoying access to the Pauoa Beach Club, members also have access at the Mauna Lani Beach Club and the Mauna Lani Sports & Fitness Club is available for an additional fee.
Inspirato Members receive an exclusive discount of 30% off greens fees at the Mauna Lani Francis H. I’i Brown Championship Courses.
Quiet hours are from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Please keep noise to a minimum so as to not disturb those in nearby residences. Outside of the quiet hours, please be considerate of your neighbors and the neighborhood and keep noise at a reasonable level.
Please park guest vehicles in designated parking areas only.
The residence may not be used for commercial purposes.

Cancellation policy: The Standard Inspirato Cancellation Policy applies for this property. Please note the Peak Reservation policy applies for Christmas and New Year's weeks and certain other travel dates.
Maximum occupancy: Up to two additional guests can be accommodated for a rate of $50 per guest per night. Additional guests are accommodated by placing two people in each queen bed in Bedroom 3.
Pet policy: No pets allowed.

Location

The best option is to fly into Kona International Airport (KOA). Most major airlines service this airport, and the most common direct flights are from Los Angeles and San Francisco, with additional direct options from Chicago, Denver, Phoenix and Salt Lake City. You may also want to explore flying into Hilo International Airport (ITO) or Honolulu International Airport (HNL), which then requires a quick commuter flight to the Big Island.

Paradise

The residence is really nice (pods). The individual buildings provide nice privacy for all. Beautiful pool, hot tub and fire pit all add to the wonderful setting.

Beautiful and Unique Property

Located in an upscale neighborhood within the Mauna Lani resort, Hale Elima is a very unique property as each of the three bedrooms as well as the living/dining room and kitchen are in separate structures accessed by external doors from the central garden/pool area. This concept allowed for more privacy but common gathering areas as well. We occupied the primary master bedroom which was spacious with a good sized walk in closet and a fabulous bathroom.

The neighborhood itself was very quiet with the back of the home bounded by the resort golf course. We loved having a golf cart to access the various areas of the resort as well as the nearby shopping center.

Our guests loved the property and our only regret is we wished we could have stayed for more than six days.

Hawaiian Paradise

Our family absolutely loved our time at Hale Elima on the Big Island. The home is beautiful. The rooms are spacious. and the pool is fabulous. And the home is very private and very quiet. The beach is a short walk or golf cart ride away. As are all the amenities of the Fairmont Resort and Mauna Lani. I highly recommend this property.

Absolutely wonderful

We loved our stay so much! The property is so beautiful and makes you feel like you are outdoors wherever you are. The service was amazing, McKenna, our concierge worked so hard to make it really special, including my birthday party with a private chef and hula lesson. The pool is great but it is not safe for non-swimmers. We also loved the golf cart and used it to get around all the time. We will come back for sure!

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hale Elima, a stunning property located in the Mauna Lani development on the Big Island of Hawaii. From the moment we arrived and throughout the planning, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service by our concierge, Makenna Martyn. One of the highlights of Hale Elima is the set-up of the property. With three teenage boys, everyone had space to spread out, yet we were all still close together. The pool, hot tub, and fire pit set up is perfection. We also dined outside for most meals whenever we ate on the property. Speaking of dining, Makenna secured sunset-timed reservations at nearby restaurants, CanoeHouse, Napua, and Brown's Beach House. We also enjoyed delicious breakfasts at Lava Lava Beach House and Kalikala Cuisine (Kailua-Kona). For a more personalized experience, Makenna arranged a private chef (Jen Wolfe is so talented!) who created a culinary masterpiece at the house while considering my picky eater. Jen generously portions, but it was so delicious there weren’t many leftovers. She also catered for our catamaran excursion. Makenna presented and organized a wide array of activities of interest for the whole family, which included thrilling ATV rides, a private catamaran and snorkeling excursion, the seahorse farm, and several beach hiking excursions. We golfed the South Course of Mauna Lani and enjoyed the most unbelievable tour of the island with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Makenna truly understands the interests of teenagers and ensures we all have an unforgettable time during our stay. She thoughtfully provided information on local places of interest and insights into the island's history, traditions, and natural wonders, which we also enjoyed. Hale Elima is a gem on the Big Island of Hawaii, offering not only luxurious accommodations but also an incredible level of service by Makenna. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a truly unforgettable Hawaiian getaway.
