The closest airport to this home is Kona International Airport (KOA), which is an approximately 30-minute drive away. You may also fly into Hilo International Airport (ITO, 90 minutes) or Honolulu International Airport (HNL), which also requires a quick commuter flight to the Big Island. Terrific Trip to Kona

The house was terrific. Very nice inside and out. Well appointed. Well stocked. Well located. Super comfy. The golf cart made getting around a breeze. The gym and beach club were nice amenities. Amanda handled all the details so nicely. Checked in on us regularly and helped with reservations and transportation. We’ve been to the Orchid nearby many times over the last 22 years and have watched our kids grow up there. But I have to say we really enjoyed the communal experience of a nice home. Open the sliding glass walls to the pool and lanai and play games into the evening. We also had a wonderful meal prepared for us by Chef Patrick and his wife Sheree. Highly recommend having them make something special. All in all, a truly wonderful way to spend a family vacation.

Amazing Inspirato Business Retreat

Makenna & the cleaning staff were great help! Our team enjoyed the trip so much. We can’t wait to plan another business retreat to this location. Everything about this place was world class and as often as we have been to this area, this experience took the crown! Thank you for your hospitality and positive vibes the entire trip.

Amazing!

We had a wonderful time and the Inspirato team was amazing. The Pass Northwest team was extremely helpful prior to our stay and Dean and Ashley were amazing leading up to our stay and during.

Dean also helped us in booking a private chef which was absolutely amazing. Extra points there!

At first booking this trip booking our trip was biter sweet. After losing a family member we all needed something to help us adults push through the pain and loss.

Deans attention to detail and eagerness to help during our stay was top notch and for the record Jenn and Nick should be on a cooking show. They knocked it out of the park!

Beautiful Home!

This home was beautiful and we really enjoyed our private pool & jacuzzi. We drove the golf cart that came with the house to the beach club beach and the black sand beaches. These were also great snorkeling spots. My husband and I enjoyed the Mauna Lani South golf course one day. You must do one of the night mantra experiences. The highlight of our trip and we were amazed at how close the mantras come. Our onsite concierge Dean was great ... checking in one or two times a day. I would not recommend Sushi Shiono as my husband and son both got food poisoning from there from a bad piece of uni. Another tip would be to stop at the Costco after landing near the airport to stock up on food and beverages.

Nice stay, but prefer the homes on the other side

Ohi'a was identical to Nanea from a floor plan (just flipped) and amenities perspective. It faces the other direction, toward the mountains (east) instead of toward the ocean (west). I did like being able to watch the sunrise, but we found that because the house is set a little lower than the golf course and there is an extensive area with lava rocks between the home and the golf course, it was quite a bit hotter in the back area. The homes facing the other direction have great breezes and views of the sunset. This house also had a really tricky A/C. There was either a loose or faulty sensor and the A/C wasn't consistent downstairs (the error message indicated a window/door was open - but there were none).

As with my last review of the area (Nanea) - I cannot recommend Chef Ippy highly enough. We also went on a private 4-hour boat/snorkling trip with Hawaii Sail Charters again and it was 5 star again. Of the restaurants in the area (we ate at Canoe House, Brown's Beach House, Napua and Merrimans) - we really liked Canoe House the best. Merrimans and Napua were pretty equal from a food perspective, but the ambiance at Canoe House was better. Destination Concierge Dean is phenomenal as well.

Overall would definitely go back and rate the area 5 stars. I would just choose one of the other houses.
