    Known as the most photographed spot in Colorado, the twin peaks of Maroon Bells soar more than 14,000 feet above Crater Lake. Fall is the best time to visit, when aspen groves turn brilliant hues of gold, orange, and red.

  • Forecasting Your Aspen Vacation

    Aspen winters are known for plenty of bluebird days as well as ample snowfall, which blankets the quaint town and nearby ski slopes. Summers are comfortable and dry, with temperatures often reaching the 70s; the temperature rarely climbs above 80°F. If you want to take advantage of high-alpine hiking and mountain biking, your best bet is to visit late June to mid-August, when the winter’s snow has melted.
