The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is just 3 miles from Aspen. The Eagle County Airport is located 70 miles from Aspen, and while Denver International Airport (DEN) is located a bit farther at 220 miles, ground transportation to Aspen is available for a fee.

Beautiful home!

Stella was great! Se was very responsive throughout our communication. A little confusion as the concierge seemed to have changed a couple time prior to arrival and after departing. Otherwise a great trip! The house was beatiful.

Bear Paw

Wonderful house. We love the family room and kitchen. All surrounded by windows. All bedrooms are a nice size. Great views and so easy to walk any where and every where.

Beautiful Aspen

We just spent a long weekend in Aspen and stayed at Bear Paw. There were 11 of us total. 5 adults and 6 kids (though some of the kids were young adults). The house is about a 10 minute walk into downtown Aspen and the walk between the house and downtown is absolutely beautiful as it is literally a walk through the park. Aspen in the summer is gorgeous. We have stayed at Inspirato's residences in Aspen Highlands previously and those are great, but we really enjoyed the proximity of Bear Paw to downtown Aspen.

Beautiful home- tons of amenities

In the past we had not booked this home in Aspen based on the location. And wow, did we realize we had been missing out! First of all, while it seems further out on the map and a 5 min drive to town- it's much closer than it seems. It's on the back side of the John Denver Sanctuary. A quick walk through the park and you are on Main Street. It's a 5 -7 min walk to Acquolina restaurant & The Jerome Hotel to give you an idea. Great kids park nearby, lots of hiking trails, easy access to the bike trails, there is large backyard with a hot tub, grill and fireplace and a green space in front for kids/dogs to play in. The garage is heated and large enough for two vehicles. Tastefully decorated in a more traditional style, it's very comfortable with large bedrooms (with comfy beds) and large bath rooms. It is great for a large group- plenty of space to spread out, ping pong table, media room etc. The master bedroom is on main entry level. Guest rooms including large bunk room that has 4 bunk beds are on the lower level/basement. The basement does not feel like a basement as it does have windows in the bedrooms. Kitchen, Dining and Living room are on the top floor/second level. It is a three story residence with lots of stairs, there is an elevator but it is not available to guests for liability reasons. Be sure if you need help with the luggage that you arrange it. This home is not for those with mobility issues. No A/C but even in the summer the downstairs bedrooms were cool, same for upstairs with windows open. The only con was with humidity (rain/snow) it did get a little musty smell on the lowest level which is easily remedied. The home is lovely with lots of great amenities and good location. Definitely recommend it!

Great House for a Group Gathering

We loved Bear Paw. We especially loved the outdoor balcony dining area, the hot tub, and the great seating area outdoors. The inside was great too - everything you could need. We even played ping pong. It's a beautiful house. It definitely would be good for families sharing a house. We were there with our adult children, and it was fab.

We enjoyed hiking around the Aspen area, on Snowmass, and on Ajax. We had several lunches at Ajax Tavern or up on the mountain, and were very comfortable with their COVID-era precautions.

TIPs for time of COVID: 1) take your masks and plan on using them regularly. There are areas of town that are mandatory mask zone, but even outside of those, you need to have a mask handy to pull up or put on when hiking (you will sometimes pass on narrow trails) or when you are walking in other areas outside of the mandatory mask zone. 2) IF YOU WANT TO DO MAROON BELLS - our destination planner made sure that we knew about the reservations required and restrictions on cars going. Another option, if your group is up to it, is to rent ebikes for the trip up to Maroon Bells. No reservation required if you are arriving by bike (at least that was the case for the time our group was there- but do double-check). Several in the group thought that was a great way to visit Maroon Bells.
