Fresh Things To Do

Featured Activity

  • An American Original

Sun Valley is the birthplace of destination skiing and features more than 3,400 vertical feet and 2,000 acres of skiable terrain. Thirteen chairlifts whisk skiers and snowboarders to the top of more than 60 varied runs and acres of challenging glades.

Bald Mountain. This peak features an abundance of constant-pitch terrain, of varying degrees of difficulty, and caters to intermediate and advanced skiers. “Baldy’s” sizable vertical drop and relative absence of wind makes it one of the premier ski mountains in the world.

Dollar Mountain. The treeless Dollar Mountain caters primarily to beginner and lower intermediate skiers, and is serviced by four chairlifts. Be sure to check out the Dollar Terrain Park too, with its 22-foot superpipe and family-friendly boardercross course.

Sun Valley Heli-Ski. Sun Valley pioneered helicopter skiing in America, offering rapid access to acres of light, deep powder. Since 1966, Sun Valley has been home to some of the most sought-after heli-skiing in the United States.
