Best Trip Ever!

Il Campanile is a dream. The pictures on the website do not do justice to this property. It is a 975 year old village on top of a hill, complete with the 'castle' (Villa Colina), the small village homes (Villas Viletta and Belleza) and even a church. I hired all villas (total of 9 bedrooms) for a period of three weeks in June. The first week was relatives from Boston, the second week was for my sons and their families, and the third was for friends. As gorgeous as the property is, the people involved in the travel planning, execution of such plans and maintenance of the property, absolutely make this experience even better

The planning could have been a logistical nightmare, but Nadia, the Destination Concierge, was absolutely unbelievable. She arranged for pick ups and drop offs for airports and train stations for 45 people. Nadia was absolutely meticulous and professional and was able to tailor each week to the needs of the various groups in terms of fun activities, great restaurants (she made reservations for all of them), fantastic tours - just a wonderful Tuscan experience.

One suggestion that she made was to have Chef Nando cook pizza in the pizza oven on the first night (Sunday) of every week for all the newcomers. Chef provided delicious appetizers and nutella pizzas as well as a variety of pizzas.

She also recommended Chef Beppe do a catered dinner the last night for each group (Saturday), so people could relax and enjoy the villas one last time. Chef Beppe is absolutely awesome, and she arranged for two or three delivered meals from him as well, which everyone enjoyed.

The local concierges, Simone and Andi, were fabulous. i was greeted every morning by text, and they were incredibly responsive to any changes that we had to make (especially in week 2, where we have 7 children, ages 3 to 11). They were unfailingly kind and tried very hard to make everything perfect.

Il Campanile has an onsite caretake, Leone with his wife Suzy and daughter Sarah (Andi is their son!). They are an incredible family.. Leone has been taking care of Il Campinile for 36 years. They are in constant communication with the drivers, or the concierges whatever, to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Suzy and Sarah do the housekeeping, and also help out the chefs as needed. Leone took luggage to all the rooms - no easy feat! Every guest loved them.

A few notes:

Collina has a LOT of steps. if you are renting all three villas, put the younger people there!

The pool and the tennis court is great.

Realize that Italy is very organic. If there are no strawberries available locally, there are no strawberries!

The tour guides in Florence (Sylvia) and Siena (Serena) are amazing

Colle Beretto is an amazing vineyard, not open to the general public but is open to Inspirato.

The recommendations for activities and restaurants were perfect.

We used Bellini for both rental cars (which are dropped off and picked up at the villas) and private drivers/vans for trips to Florence, Siena etc. Wonderful company which was recommended by Nadia.

All in all, the best trip ever

Trip of a lifetime, wonderful service

I planned a trip to Il Campanile with a large group of friends from college. Because of our size we were in every house on the property. The villa is gorgeous and the houses are laid out in a way that makes each room feel like a single apartment - even when full, each house feels roomy. The views are amazing no matter where you are on the property.

Although the villa is beautiful, it was the level of care provided by Valentina and Andi, our destination planners, that made this vacation one that we will remember forever. Valentina worked with me to create the perfect itinerary for 18 people which is not easy. Each activity, tour and restaurant she recommended felt unique and special and we would have repeated every one of them. She also made sure that we were well prepared by providing details on what to expect at each point on the trip.

The level of service Andi provided once we got to the villa was exceptional. He was not overwhelmed by the number of people, questions and varying needs. He made sure our group felt comfortable and was able to coordinate any change or alteration to the itinerary with ease and patience. His family played a big part in making us feel at home, as well, as they made sure everything was efficient and comfortable.

Both Valentina and Andi were organized and responsive - messages and texts were returned within minutes. Moreover, their follow through was consistent - they always did what they said they were going to do. All in all, our experience with them and with Inspirato could not have been better.

This trip was an 11 out 10!

The Trip of a Lifetime!!!!

We stayed at the three Il Campanile residences during a trip in March 2024 with a group of 19 family and friends. I was married at the church onsite during our visit and could write a novel on how absolutely perfect the *entire* trip and experience was. If there was one thing that set the trip apart it was undoubtedly the thoughtful and exper planning by Nadia Laalioui. Nadia practically singlehandedly planned the wedding of my DREAMS and even came onsite the day of the wedding to ensure everything ran smoothly. Nadia also planned a full itinerary of events for our group in the days leading up the wedding. A winery tour and tasting, pizza party at the house, several lunches/dinners out, a private walking tour Siena, and all the logistics and transportation required. The trip truly would not have been possible with Nadia's planning and excellent attention to detail.

The Il Campanile residences were the perfect location for our group. The property is stunning beyond belief and the wonderfully sweet and helpful caretakers onsite make the whole experience that much better. Andi and Simone, the onsite concierge team, were amazing when it came to daily requests and wedding day assistance.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the all encompassing beauty and experience that is Il Campanile. Inspirato is lucky to have such wonderful employees like Nadia, Simone and Andi (+ Andi's family), and we cannot wait to plan a trip back in the future!!

Tuscany over the holidays

Just back from Il Campanile in Tuscany and hard to believe the trip is over. I can't say enough about this experience. Our group included 18 people from ages 12-83. The property is great for a large group with 3 separate houses and an incredible property. Our trip started with Silvia planning an incredible trip that did not disappoint. We had access to incredible tours and enjoyed great food. Our trip included winery tours, truffle hunt, cheese farm and visits to neighboring towns. Andi was on site and ensured that everything went as planned. His team/family took great care of our entire group. We ate at some great restaurants and had Chef Beppe and his team at the house for a cooking class. They also prepared an incredible dinner for our last night together. What a great trip, property and team that created special memories for our family. Special thanks to Silvia, Andi, Chef Beppe, Leone and Sarah and of course to Tri-State 1.

Trip of a Lifetime

It would be impossible to overstate what an amazing time my family had at Il Campanile.

This is a special property, supported by a special team, and the love they have for this place created a memory that my entire family will never forget - and for which we couldn’t be more grateful.

My wife and I booked Il Campanile to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary, with my oldest son and his fiancée, my youngest son and his best friend, my six siblings and four of their spouses (16 in total).

The property may be among the most stunning places we’ve ever visited (and we are fortunate to have travelled quite a bit throughout our lifetime). The villas are over 900 years old, yet somehow they felt like they had been built with the sole purpose of creating a great experience for us. Other reviewers noted that the main tower (Villa Collina) has a lot of stairs, and it does. If you have older members of the family or individuals with limited mobility it would be a challenge, but if you are in comfortable health, we found them to be an enjoyable fitness exercise and the views from the top of the tower made every step well worth it. The other villas on the property (La Villetta and Villa Bellezza) had much more typical elevations.

Our group was able to enjoy the community parts of the property (including the piazza by the church that became a favorite hangout in the evenings) … but it is also a diverse property that offered individual privacy and solitude even though we were traveling with a big group.

The property alone would have been worth the five star review, but if I could give five more stars, I would - it would be for the absolutely amazing team that supports this property and helped us plan and enjoy our trip.

Before we arrived there was Nadia, who was our trip planner, and helped us create an absolutely exceptional itinerary for our group of 16. She invested an amazing amount of time with us, including having multiple calls with the entire group to help them prepare for the trip and answer any questions they had.

We did not need to worry about a thing: from transportation to and from airports and train stations, to restaurants, private chefs, amazing tours and a simply unforgettable day at the Villa celebrating our anniversary and renewing our vows in the stunning church on the property. Nadia even spent the afternoon on the property during our celebration day to make sure everything went smoothly. Every detail was cared for and every need for our group was anticipated.

When we first arrived, the amazing family that cares for the property was immediately there to take care of us. Leoni looked after our luggage, and Andi helped ensure all of our logistics were cared for (including fully stocking the kitchens with our grocery orders for each of the three villas on the property).

For our Vow Renewal, Daniela (our other destination concierge) stepped in to be the celebrant for the event, and she delivered an inspirational service that was probably even better than our wedding 30 years ago! Inspirato secured flowers and decor for the church, an incredible meal on site at the villa, a photographer so everyone could enjoy the day without worrying about getting the perfect photo and they capped our evening off with a beautiful musical duo: a singer and piano player who made the evening spectacular. The entire destination team - and the partners that Inspirato engaged - were just lovely people, and getting to know them was one of the great gifts of our trip.

The tours to San Gimignano, Siena, the breathtaking Colle Bereto winery as well as the bike tour along the Via Fancigena were all incredible … but th property itself deserves committed time. The pool at the villa is amazing. Big enough for all of us, we enjoyed nearly every afternoon and early evening at the pool, and we loved the property so much we actually modified our itinerary so we could spend a day at the villa and enjoy the pool and the property.

The property is impeccably kept and inviting. It feels like you could spend months there and not discover all it has to offer. And the service was incredible - including the private chef we had for our celebration day, and the pizza party we had on the last night. Some of the best meals we had in Tuscany were with Chef Beppe at the Villa (and that says a great deal, because the meals in San Gimignano, Siena and Mensano throughout the week were amazing!) It would be tragic to visit Il Campanile and not book a pizza party in the centuries old pizza oven on the property.

Nadia, Leoni, Andi and Daniela made this trip spectacular … we’ve been back home for weeks and the family is still talking about it, exchanging photos and revisiting memories that I have no doubt will last a lifetime.

Inspirato has always delivered for us. But as we returned home from this trip, the family members that we hosted all remarked that we had ruined vacations for them forever - they couldn’t imagine (nor can we) how we could top the experiences we were so privileged to enjoy during our stay at Il Campanile. But with Inspirato’s help, we will try!
