Fresh Things To Do

Featured Activity

  • Neighboring Nice is Northeast

The deep blue waters of the Cote d'Azur and Nice, France are only a 30-minute drive from Cannes. Nice is the second largest French city on the Mediterranean coast and the second most popular amongst travelers, after Paris.

Promenade du Paillon. Named "coulée verte" (the green axis), the Promenade du Paillon took ten careful years to build and carves right through the center of Nice. This is a wonderful stroll for a family. You'll pass illuminated sculptures, soaking fountains for the kids, gardens and views of the sea. Afterward, explore the National Theatre of Nice and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, both of which neighbor the promenade.

Old Town. To feel like a local, visit Vieille Ville (Old Town). This hilly, historic area in Nice is filled with bistros and shopping.

Yoga Mala. For something a little different, try stand-up paddleboarding yoga. Combining the two makes for a challenging workout in the water with guidance from English-speaking, certified instructors Yuko and Nick.
